Stephenie & Justin’s Wedding

I get goosebumps, seriously, when I think of the love between my friends Stephenie and Justin. I first met Stephenie when she was a bridesmaid in her friend’s wedding I photographed in 2018. After the wedding, Stephenie called me and said I had to photograph her and Justin and she wouldn’t take no for an answer. If you know Stephenie at all, you know she is one of the kindest, sweetest people you will ever meet, and so you know I would have cleared my schedule to work with this bride.

Ever since this couple first met, family has been at the forefront of their relationship. They first met when they were little and Stephenie would frequently visit Justin’s grandmother. This home was one of the special photo backdrops during the couple’s engagement session. Justin knew how important family is to Stephenie, so he included their son in his engagement surprise on Christmas Eve, and had her son present her with the ring!

The morning of the wedding was clear and beautiful! Their family all gathered at their church, The Bible Columbus Way. From the readings that focused on our relationship with God and His with us, to the musical pieces, the wedding spoke to the spirit of each guest. I personally was brought to tears by the presence of God and the love that surrounded Stephenie and Justin by their family and friends.

The dance floor was packed all night long thanks to DJO. Justin and his college friends did a traditional Kappa Tribute for the lady of the hour, and then I was brought to tears again when Stephenie shared a dance with her son. Stephenie and Justin's wedding testifies that centering your big milestones around the foundation of your family and the cornerstone of your faith will always yield great things of lasting joy!
